LayLax lists this 247mm Prometheus EG barrel for four quite different replicas: the G36C, P90, CAR15 and SIG552. They share a similar inner barrel length, so this one stainless steel barrel, with its 6.03mm tight bore, can serve as an upgrade for any of them.
Prometheus is the internals brand of LayLax, and its EG barrels are made in many lengths, each listed against particular replicas.
Material and tolerance
The EG series is made from stainless steel and listed with a bore tolerance of plus or minus 0.01mm. A hard, corrosion-resistant barrel is less likely to pick up dents or pitting.
At 6.03mm the bore is a tight one. A narrower gap around the BB means less air escapes past it, which tends to improve consistency. It also means the barrel rewards clean, good quality BBs and a well-set hop-up.
Fitting
To fit it, strip the replica far enough to remove the hop-up unit and original barrel. Fit the bucking to the new barrel with the window aligned, slide it into the hop-up chamber and reassemble. Set the hop in small steps and have the replica chronographed before you play, because a tight bore barrel can change muzzle velocity.
Four platforms, one barrel
The G36C and SIG552 are compact assault rifle designs, the P90 is a bullpup PDW, and the CAR15 is a short M4-family carbine. All are well suited to close and medium range play. Because they differ a lot in how they come apart, check the stripping procedure for your replica before you start, and take your time getting at the hop-up unit, particularly on the P90.

The product name lists the G36C, P90, CAR15 and SIG552; replicas of these models from different makers may use different barrel lengths, so measure yours first.
The hop-up rubber is not listed as included, so plan to reuse your current bucking or fit a new one at the same time.
Care and maintenance
Push a clean patch through the bore with a rod regularly, working from the hop-up end where you can, and keep the barrel dry inside. Stick to clean, seamless BBs, avoid dropped or dirty ones, and never oil the hop-up rubber.
