Description
PPS WWII M9A1 Bazooka Grenade Launcher (PPSGG0007)
The PPS WWII M9A1 Bazooka is a full-size airsoft replica of the US Army M9A1 anti-tank rocket launcher of the Second World War, made by PPS (code PPSGG0007). In airsoft form it works as a grenade launcher: a standard 40mm airsoft gas grenade shell is loaded into the tube and fired with the launcher’s own trigger, sending out a burst of BBs.
The bazooka is one of the most iconic weapons of the Second World War, and this replica is aimed squarely at reenactors, WWII-themed events and collectors who want an authentic-looking support weapon for an American impression. It is as much a centrepiece as a game piece, and it never fails to draw attention on the field.
Build and dimensions
A UK retailer listing describes the launcher as made in two 775mm segments that assemble into a tube of about 1,550mm, with a weight of about 3kg. It states that all components except the handle and the optics are metal, describes a light aluminium construction and lists a real wood handle.
The two-part design mirrors the M9A1, which could be broken down for carrying, and makes the replica much easier to transport and store than a single long tube. Check that the joint is fully locked before use.
How it works
The same listing describes the launcher as operated with a standard 40mm airsoft gas grenade, which is not included. The grenade is inserted from the front of the muzzle and fired with the trigger. Charge the shell with the gas its maker recommends, fill it with BBs, load it into the tube and fire. Each shot discharges the whole shell in one burst, which is ideal for flushing players from cover or making a dramatic statement at a reenactment.
The listing also mentions a safety. Keep the launcher on safe while loading and moving, and only point it downrange. Gas shells perform best in mild weather, so expect a little less punch on cold days.

Compatibility
The launcher is listed for standard 40mm airsoft gas grenade shells. Shells from different makers vary slightly, so please check with us that a particular shell suits this launcher before ordering several. Use good-quality seamless 6mm BBs in the shell.
Use the gas recommended by the shell’s maker. The launcher has no battery and no gas tank of its own, so everything it needs comes from the shell.
Care and maintenance
Remove any shell from the launcher after use and never store it with a gassed shell inside. Keep the inside of the tube clean and dry, and wipe the metal parts with a lightly oiled cloth to protect the finish, keeping oil off the wooden handle.
Look after your shells as you would gas magazines: a drop of silicone oil on the fill valve and seals every so often, no overfilling, and storage with a little gas inside so the seals stay seated. Store the launcher in its two sections somewhere cool and dry.
Who is it for?
The PPS M9A1 Bazooka is for WWII reenactors, themed-event players and collectors who want a striking, authentic-looking American support weapon, and for anyone who wants a launcher that turns heads at the safe zone as well as on the field.
Please note: Grenade shells, gas and BBs are not listed as included. Check your site’s rules on launchers and minimum engagement distances before play. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
