Description
Rare Arms R-System ARI5 Shells (15 Pieces Pack – Full Metal)
This is a pack of 15 full metal shells for Rare Arms rifles that use the R-System, such as the AR-i5. Rare Arms makes shell-ejecting gas blowback rifles: each BB is loaded into its own shell, the shells go into the magazine, and when you fire, the empty case is thrown out of the ejection port just like a real rifle. Spare shells are essential, because you will lose some in the grass and leaves, and extra shells mean more loaded magazines ready to go.
The R-System is Rare Arms’ third-generation shell-ejecting system. Its shells come in plastic and metal, and these are the full metal type, which are generally much more durable. One retailer quotes plastic shells as lasting around 5 to 10 ejection cycles before cracking, and metal ones around 30 to 40, so metal shells are the better long-term choice for regular players.
How shell ejection works
On a shell-ejecting rifle, the magazine holds loaded shells rather than loose BBs. Each shot chambers a shell, fires the BB out of it, and ejects the empty case as the bolt cycles. On the AR-i5, the magazine is listed as holding 30 rounds with shells, so the number of shells you own decides how many rounds you can have loaded at once.
Collecting your empty shells is part of the fun, and part of the cost, so many owners use a brass catcher or play on ground where shells are easy to find.
Loading
Load a BB into each shell, then load the shells into the magazine in the way shown in your rifle’s manual. Check each shell for dents, cracks or dirt before you load it, and set aside any that are damaged, as they can cause feeding or ejection problems.

Compatibility
Made for Rare Arms R-System shell-ejecting rifles such as the AR-i5. Shells from other shell-ejecting systems are not interchangeable, so check that your rifle uses Rare Arms R-System shells before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Wipe shells clean after use, especially if they have landed in mud, sand or wet grass, and let them dry fully before storing them. Dirty shells are a common cause of feeding and ejection problems.
Rare Arms rifles need more regular lubrication and adjustment than a typical AEG or gas rifle, so follow the maintenance guidance in your manual. Inspect shells regularly and retire any that are bent or damaged.
Who is it for?
Ideal for Rare Arms AR-i5 owners who want more shells to keep extra magazines loaded, or to replace shells lost or worn out in play.
Please note: Shells only; BBs, magazine and rifle are not included.
