Saigo Defense Kamikaze XL Grenade – 9mm – Orange
The Saigo Defense Kamikaze XL is an impact-activated training grenade that uses a 9mm blank to produce a loud report. Rather than relying on a timed fuse, it goes off when it strikes the ground or a hard surface, so the bang comes the moment it lands. That makes it very effective for room clearing in airsoft games, as there is no window for opponents to react, and it is also used in training and combat simulation.
Saigo Defense’s Kamikaze range is designed for repeated use: instead of throwing away a whole grenade after each bang, you simply fit a fresh blank. This XL version is finished in bright orange, which makes it easy to find after it has been thrown into long grass, leaves or a dark room.
How it works
Load a 9mm blank following Saigo Defense’s instructions and fit the grenade back together. The Kamikaze uses a pull ring rather than a traditional pin: when you are ready, pull the ring to arm the grenade and throw it. When the grenade hits a hard surface, the impact fires the blank, producing an instant, loud report. After the game, retrieve the grenade, remove the spent blank and reload it for next time.
Build
The Kamikaze range is built from metal so it can survive being thrown repeatedly onto hard floors and ground. The orange finish is not only practical for recovery but also makes the grenade clearly identifiable as a training device.

Compatibility
The grenade uses 9mm blanks of the type specified by Saigo Defense; follow the manufacturer’s instructions on which blanks to use. Blanks are sold separately. Impact grenades work best on firm surfaces such as floors, hard-packed ground and gravel, and may not fire reliably on very soft ground, deep mud or thick vegetation.
Care and maintenance
Always remove the spent blank after use, and never store the grenade with a live blank fitted. Clean off mud, dirt and residue after each game and check the mechanism and threads for damage. Keep the grenade dry and store it separately from your blanks, with blanks kept in their original packaging in a cool, dry place. If a grenade does not fire, do not pick it up straight away; leave it for a moment, then make it safe following the manufacturer’s instructions.
