Description
Saigo Defense RONIN AEG (Tan)
This is the Saigo Defense RONIN electric airsoft rifle (AEG) in tan. It belongs to Saigo Defense’s affordable range of replicas, designed to get new and budget-conscious players onto the field without a big outlay. Battery powered rather than gas powered, it is inexpensive to run and gives the same performance in any season.
Saigo Defense focuses on making airsoft accessible, and the RONIN is a straightforward electric rifle to learn on. It makes a good first rifle, a sensible choice for a younger family member, or a spare to keep in the kit bag for friends who want to try the sport.
Why choose an electric rifle
An AEG runs from a rechargeable battery, which drives a motor and gearbox to compress air behind each BB. That makes it cheap to run, as there is no gas to buy, and its performance stays the same whatever the weather, which is a real advantage in a British winter.
Electric rifles are also simple to look after: charge the battery, load a magazine and play. That makes them the natural starting point for most new players.
Getting the best from it
A budget rifle rewards a little care. Use good quality seamless BBs, keep the barrel clean and take a few minutes to set the hop-up properly at the range, and you will see a real difference in accuracy and range compared with cheap BBs and an unset hop.
Spare magazines are worth having, so you spend more time playing and less time reloading. Check that any magazines you buy are made for this model or its magazine type.
Tan finish
The tan finish suits coyote, desert and earth-toned loadouts, and it stands out a little from the many black rifles in the safe zone. It pairs well with tan or multi-terrain camo and with tan accessories.
Getting started
Fully charge a suitable battery before first use, then fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, wind it if it is a high-capacity type, and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight.
Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and keep a note of the hop setting that suits your favourite BB weight so you can return to it quickly.

Compatibility
Magazines, batteries and accessories need to suit this model, so please check the product images or ask us which magazine type and battery size it takes before buying spares. Seamless 6mm BBs of around 0.20g are a sensible starting point for a rifle of this type.
Care and maintenance
Remove the battery whenever you are not using the rifle, and never leave a LiPo charging unattended. Run a cleaning rod with a clean patch through the inner barrel regularly to keep accuracy consistent, and only use clean, seamless BBs of a decent brand.
After muddy or wet games, wipe the outside down and let the rifle dry naturally before casing it. Check that rails, accessories and the stock are tight, and have any gearbox work carried out by an experienced technician.
Who is it for?
New players who want an inexpensive first electric rifle in tan, and anyone who needs a low-cost spare or loan rifle for friends and family trying airsoft.
Please note: A battery and charger are not listed as included, so please check before ordering and choose a battery that fits the rifle’s battery space and connector. Always wear suitable eye protection when using or testing any airsoft replica.
