Description
SF M600W Weapon Mounted Scoutlight – Long (Tan)
The SF M600W Weapon Mounted Scoutlight is a rail-mounted weapon light in the style of the well-known Scout Light family used on modern carbines, in the long version and finished in tan. A weapon light lets you check dark rooms, corners and woodland shadows before you shoot, and the Scout Light look adds a realistic detail to any modern rifle build.
Scout-style lights are among the most popular weapon light designs in airsoft because they are compact, sit neatly on the side of a handguard and suit almost any carbine, SMG or shotgun. The longer body of this version gives a slightly more substantial look, and the tan finish suits coyote and desert-themed builds and two-tone rifles.
Using a weapon light
In CQB and night games a light helps you identify who is in front of you before you shoot, so you can avoid hitting team-mates and pick out opponents hiding in shadow. Short bursts of light are usually better than leaving it on, as a constant beam gives away your position.
Be considerate with a bright light: never shine it directly into another player’s eyes at close range, and follow your site’s rules on lights.
Mounting
Scout-style lights are designed to sit on a rail, usually at the front of the handguard on the side of your support hand. Check the product images to see the mount and switch arrangement supplied with this light, and fit it far enough forward that the barrel or a suppressor does not block the beam. Practise reaching the switch with your support-hand thumb before game day.

Care and maintenance
Take the battery out if the light will be stored for a while, since an old cell can leak and corrode the contacts. Clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe off mud and rain after a game before letting the light dry naturally.
Vibration from shooting and knocks against cover can loosen mounts, so check the clamp and screws before each game day and keep the light somewhere it will not be crushed in your kit bag.

Please note: Battery not included unless stated. Never shine a weapon light into another player’s eyes at close range, and always wear eye protection.
