Indirect fire weapons add a whole new layer to a game, forcing teams to think about cover, movement and communication, and a stock of rounds is essential for any mortar team.
Using it in games
Mortars are a specialist role in airsoft and are usually used at milsim and scenario events, where the organisers set out how they may be used and how hits are counted. Always check the site or event rules before bringing a mortar or mortar rounds, and only use them where they are allowed.
Having several rounds ready to go lets a mortar team keep up a rate of fire and respond quickly to calls from the rest of the team. Practise loading and firing before game day so the team can work safely and smoothly.
Power
The round is CO2 powered. Use the correct CO2 supply and charging method set out in the manufacturer’s instructions for your mortar system, and never improvise with other gases or adaptors.
