Description
Springfield Armory XDM 3.8 Compact Gas Blowback Pistol (by WE – Black – SA-XDM38GBB6-B)
The Springfield Armory XDM 3.8 Compact (SA-XDM38GBB6-B) is a black gas blowback pistol made by WE and carrying Springfield Armory markings. It replicates the compact 3.8-inch version of the XD(M), a modern polymer-framed striker-fired service pistol, so it is shorter and handier than a full-size sidearm.
WE is one of the best-known names in gas blowback pistols, and its replicas are known for strong recoil and good parts support. This compact XDM is a smart choice for players who want a modern, realistic sidearm that is easy to carry all day.
How it works
Gas in the magazine is released by a valve when you pull the trigger, firing the BB and driving the slide back at the same time. As the slide returns it resets the action and feeds the next BB, giving the crisp kick WE pistols are known for.
Working through reloads and slide manipulations with a blowback pistol is great practice, and the compact size makes it quick to draw in close-quarters games.
Handling
The 3.8-inch compact format keeps the pistol short at the muzzle while still giving a full grip, so it carries comfortably and balances well. The modern XDM shape has a textured grip for control.
The black finish suits any modern military, police or civilian-style loadout.
Getting started
Fill the magazine with the correct gas, holding the can upright and filling in short bursts. Let the magazine settle for a minute, load your BBs and fire a few test shots with the hop-up off, then add hop gradually until the BBs fly flat.
Get the replica chronographed at your site before play. In cold weather, keep spare magazines warm in an inside pocket for the most consistent performance.

Compatibility
Use magazines listed for the WE XDM series when buying spares, and check whether a magazine is for the compact or full-size model before ordering. Holsters made for the XD(M) 3.8 Compact are the best fit.
Use quality 6mm BBs and the gas recommended in the manual.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine’s fill valve and seals every few fills, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay tight. Do not overfill, and let magazines warm up to room temperature in cold weather rather than heating them.
Wipe the moving parts and the outer barrel with a thin film of silicone oil now and then, clean the inner barrel with a rod and patch, and use good quality seamless BBs. Never use petroleum-based oils on the seals.
Who is it for?
The XDM 3.8 Compact suits players who want a modern, realistic sidearm in a handy size, fans of WE gas pistols, and anyone building a contemporary loadout.
