Description
SRC XR8 Upper Receiver
This is a replacement upper receiver for the SRC XR8. The upper receiver forms the top half of the replica’s body and carries parts such as the barrel assembly and, depending on the design, the sights or rail, so it is a structural part as well as a cosmetic one.
SRC is a long-established airsoft manufacturer, and genuine replacement shells and receivers allow owners to restore a replica that has been cracked, scratched or otherwise damaged, rather than replacing the whole thing.
When to replace it
Receivers can be cracked by drops or by over-tightening screws, and worn mounting points can let parts move that should be held firmly. A replacement upper gives the barrel assembly and other parts a solid home again.
It can also be a good base for a refurbishment if your current upper is badly scratched or has damaged threads.
Fitting
Fitting usually means transferring the barrel, hop-up and other components from the old upper, so take photographs as you strip it and keep screws in a labelled tray. Disconnect the battery and remove the magazine first. Check that the hop-up and barrel sit correctly before reassembling and test-firing.

Compatibility
Made for the SRC XR8. Receivers are model-specific, so check your replica is an SRC XR8 and compare the photos with your existing upper before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Avoid over-tightening screws into the receiver, as this is a common cause of cracks and stripped threads. Wipe the receiver clean after games and keep the replica stored in a padded bag or case.
Always remove the battery after use and keep internal parts clean and free from grit.
Who is it for?
For SRC XR8 owners who need to replace a damaged upper receiver or refurbish their replica.
Please note: Upper receiver only; internal parts are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when testing a replica.
