Description
ST SKS AEG Airsoft Rifle Real Wood
The S&T SKS is an electric airsoft replica of the Soviet SKS semi-automatic carbine, finished with a real wood stock. The SKS was the forerunner of the AK in Soviet service and became one of the most widely produced rifles of the 20th century, and this replica captures its classic lines for collectors, re-enactors and players who enjoy historical games.
S&T is a Taiwanese manufacturer with a strong range of historical and military-themed replicas, many of them in real wood and metal. The SKS is a characterful rifle that stands out on any field, and it suits players who prefer careful, aimed shots over volume of fire.
Build and materials
A US retailer lists the S&T SKS-45 with metal alloy construction in a black oxide finish and a real wood stock, at around 3,135g. The same listing describes an adjustable rear sight, bottom sling loops and a folding bayonet that is permanently attached, as on the original.
Real wood furniture needs a little care: wipe it dry after wet games, keep it away from radiators and direct heat, and treat it occasionally with a light coat of a suitable wood oil or wax to keep the finish looking good.
Performance and internals
That retailer lists a pre-installed quick-change spring gearbox, an adjustable hop-up, and a G3 ECU MOSFET with an electronic switch. Fire mode is semi-automatic only, which suits the SKS’s role and encourages careful shooting.
The same listing gives a magazine capacity of 22 rounds. That is a low-capacity, realistic setup, so plan to carry BBs and a speed loader to top up between engagements.
How it works
An AEG (airsoft electric gun) uses a rechargeable battery to drive a motor and gearbox, which draws back a piston against a spring and releases it to push the BB through the hop-up and down the inner barrel. AEGs are consistent in all weathers and cheap to run, with no gas to buy.
The electronic switch protects the trigger contacts from wear and gives a crisp semi-auto response.

Compatibility
Please check the product photos or contact us for the battery type, size and connector, as historical rifles with wooden stocks often have limited battery space. Use 6mm BBs of good quality; a 0.25g BB is a sensible starting point for a semi-auto rifle like this.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery after every game, and never store the rifle with the battery plugged in. Charge batteries with a suitable charger, never leave them charging unattended, and store them at a sensible storage charge somewhere cool and dry.
Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as poor or damaged BBs are the main cause of jams and hop-up wear. Clean the inner barrel regularly with a cleaning rod and a soft cloth, wipe the outside down after wet or muddy games, and keep the rifle somewhere dry between games.
Real wood furniture needs a little care: wipe it dry after wet games, keep it away from radiators and direct heat, and treat it occasionally with a light coat of a suitable wood oil or wax to keep the finish looking good.
Who is it for?
The S&T SKS suits collectors and re-enactors, players who enjoy WWII and Cold War themed games, and anyone who wants a distinctive semi-auto rifle that rewards careful shooting.
