This is a two-part, high-profile mount set from Theta Optics for fitting a 25mm (1-inch) tube scope or sight to a 20mm RIS-type rail. Two separate rings clamp around the optic’s tube and lock onto the rail, so you can place each ring where it suits the length of your scope and the space on your rifle.
Theta Optics produces optics and mounting hardware for airsoft, and two-piece ring mounts like these are the traditional way of fitting a tube sight. The high profile lifts the optic above the rail, which helps clear iron sights, a rear sight base or a large objective lens, and suits a heads-up shooting position, particularly when wearing a full face mask.
Build and fitting
A UK retailer listing for this mount describes alloy construction in black, sized for 25mm optics and for 20mm RIS, RAS and Picatinny rails, with a weight of about 0.1kg for the pair and an Allen key included. Alloy rings are light and rigid, so they hold the optic steadily without adding much weight to the top of the rifle.
To fit, loosen the rail clamps and the ring caps, set the rings on the rail at the spacing your scope needs and tighten the rail clamps evenly. Place the optic in the lower halves, set the eye relief and level the reticle, then fit the caps and tighten the screws a little at a time, alternating from side to side so the gap stays even.
Choosing the height
High rings put the centre of the optic further above the bore. That is useful when your scope has a large objective bell, when you need to clear fixed or flip-up sights, or when you want to keep your head up and get a clear sight picture through goggles or a mask. If you prefer a low cheek weld on a sniper rifle, a medium or low mount may suit you better.

Compatibility
These rings take optics with a 25mm (1-inch) tube. They will not fit 30mm tube scopes, and will not grip a 20mm tube securely. They clamp onto 20mm RIS, RAS and Picatinny rails; they are not designed for 11mm dovetail rails. Make sure you have enough rail length for both rings at the spacing your optic needs.
Care and maintenance
Check the ring screws and rail clamps before each game, as knocks can loosen them over time, but do not overtighten the cap screws, as this can mark or distort an optic tube. A small dab of low-strength thread lock on the rail clamp screws can help on a rifle that sees heavy use.
Wipe the rings clean after wet or muddy games and dry them before storage. Keep the Allen key in your kit bag so you can make adjustments at the site.
