Description
Tippmann Stormer Cal .68 Marker
The Tippmann Stormer is a .68 calibre paintball marker from Tippmann, a name that has been synonymous with tough, dependable markers for decades. The Stormer takes the rugged, mechanical approach Tippmann is known for and wraps it in a modern, tactical-looking package, making it a popular choice for new players, scenario games and site rental fleets.
It is designed to be simple to run and easy to look after. With no electronics to worry about and a body built to take knocks, it is the sort of marker you can pick up, gas up and play with day after day.
Build and design
The Stormer has a high-impact composite body that keeps weight down and copes well with the bumps and drops of regular play. Picatinny rails give you space to fit accessories such as a red dot or a light, and a vertical grip helps you hold the marker steady. An internal gas line keeps the outline clean and means there is no external hose to snag on cover or kit.
How it works
The Stormer uses an in-line bolt system, a proven mechanical design that is reliable and straightforward to maintain. It runs on either CO2 or compressed air (HPA), so you can use whatever your site supplies, and the air tank screws into a bottom-mounted air source adaptor. Paintballs are fed from above, so the marker needs a hopper and an air or CO2 tank to get playing.
Easy to maintain
Part of the appeal of the Stormer is that it is easy to strip and clean. Because the design is mechanical and uses familiar parts, routine maintenance such as cleaning the bolt, lubricating O-rings and clearing broken paint is quick to learn. That makes it a good marker for players who want to understand and look after their own kit.
On the field
The Stormer’s tactical styling makes it a natural fit for woodland and scenario games, where its rails and vertical grip feel at home alongside other military-style kit. For sites, its mechanical simplicity means less downtime between sessions, and for new players it is a forgiving marker to learn on: it rewards good habits such as keeping paint clean and dry and the tank properly fitted.

Care and maintenance
After each game, remove the tank and paintballs, then clean out any broken paint with a squeegee and a soft cloth. Lightly oil the bolt and O-rings with a marker oil, and check the O-rings for cuts or flat spots, replacing them as needed. Store the marker clean and dry, and keep paintballs cool and dry so they do not swell or break in the barrel.
