UFC ACOG Killflash (Tan)
The UFC ACOG Killflash is a tan anti-reflection device for ACOG-style replica scopes. It fits over the front of the scope and places a honeycomb filter in front of the objective lens, cutting down the glint that can give your position away when the sun catches your optic.
Real-steel users fit killflash devices for exactly this reason, and on an airsoft replica it adds realistic detail as well as a practical benefit. The honeycomb also puts a barrier in front of the lens, helping to shield it from direct BB hits. The tan finish suits desert and coyote-coloured scopes and builds.
How it works
A killflash is a short tube filled with a honeycomb of small cells. Light reaching your eye passes straight down the cells, so your view through the scope stays clear, but light reflecting off the lens at an angle is blocked by the cell walls. The result is much less glare and reflection seen by anyone looking towards you.
You may notice a slight reduction in brightness and a faint honeycomb pattern in some light conditions, which is normal for this kind of device.
Fitting
The product photo shows a cap that fits over the front of the scope with a tether attached, so it stays with the optic and is less likely to be lost. Push it fully home over the objective and check it is seated evenly before use.

Care and maintenance
Remove the killflash now and then to clean the scope lens with a soft lens cloth, as dust can collect behind the honeycomb. Blow or brush debris out of the honeycomb rather than poking it, as the cells can be bent. Check the tether and fit before each game.
