UFC AP Style 3X Magnifier with QD Twist Mount
The UFC AP Style 3X Magnifier is a fixed 3x magnifier on a quick-detach twist mount. A magnifier sits behind a red dot sight and enlarges the view through it, turning a fast close-range sight into one that lets you pick out targets at longer distances. When you no longer need the magnification, the quick-detach mount lets you take it off the rail.
UFC makes affordable replica optics and mounts for airsoft. A red dot and magnifier combination is one of the most flexible sighting setups for an assault rifle or DMR: you can clear buildings with the dot alone, then add the magnifier to look across a field or into a tree line. “AP style” in the name refers to the design style the magnifier is modelled on.
How a magnifier works with a red dot
The magnifier has no reticle of its own; it magnifies the dot and target picture from the red dot sight in front of it. Mount it on the same rail directly behind your red dot, so both are in line. At 3x the field of view is narrower than with the dot alone, so most players use the dot on its own for close work.
QD twist mount
The quick-detach twist mount lets the magnifier be fitted and removed from the rail without tools; twist mounts of this style are often designed so the magnifier can also be turned aside. Compatibility
Designed to be used behind a red dot or holographic-style sight on a 20mm Picatinny-style top rail. The magnifier and red dot need to sit at a matching height so the dot is centred in the view; check the product images and the height of your sight before ordering. You will need enough rail length for both optics.
Care and maintenance
Keep the lenses clean with a lens brush and microfibre cloth, and fit covers when the magnifier is not in use. Check the mount’s lever tension and screws before each game, and keep grit out of the twist mechanism so it moves freely.
