Description
VFC M3 MAAWS Simulated Ammunition Round
This is a VFC simulated round for the VFC US SOCOM M3 MAAWS airsoft launcher. It recreates the look of the full-size recoilless rifle round, and is used both as a spare round for the launcher and to complete a display or loadout.
The MAAWS is a single-shot launcher, so having spare rounds ready is what lets you reload quickly. A simulated round also looks great alongside the launcher in photographs, on a stand or carried on a support gunner’s kit.
How it works
The VFC M3 MAAWS is a modular launcher system. In its standard form, a 40mm gas grenade is loaded inside the simulated 84mm round, which is then loaded into the launcher. With the optional 65mm launch module, the launcher fires 65mm projectiles, with a VFC 40mm Titan gas grenade providing the propellant charge.
The cap of the simulated round can be removed so that a 40mm airsoft gas grenade can be fitted inside. Preparing several rounds, each with a filled grenade, before the game means reloading is simply a case of swapping rounds.
Display and milsim use
Even when not being fired, the simulated round adds realism to a milsim impression, a static display or a photo shoot. It shows the scale of the real ammunition, which is a big part of what makes the MAAWS such an eye-catching piece of kit.
