Description
Vigor L85A2 Spring Rifle with Carry Handle (Blue – L85A1)
The Vigor L85A2 is a budget spring-powered airsoft rifle styled on the L85, the bullpup rifle that has served as the British Army’s standard service rifle for decades. This version is fitted with a carry handle on top, recalling the iron-sighted rifles issued alongside the more familiar optic-equipped versions, and it is finished in blue.
Spring rifles are cocked by hand before each shot, so there are no batteries or gas to buy and nothing to charge. That makes the Vigor L85 an affordable, uncomplicated way to own a British-styled rifle, and a popular choice for beginners, younger shooters at supervised venues and back-garden target practice.
The bullpup layout
In a bullpup, the action sits behind the pistol grip and the magazine goes in behind the trigger. That gives you a compact overall length without losing barrel length, which is why the real L85 is so short for a full rifle. On an airsoft replica, it means a gun that is easy to handle indoors and around obstacles, and that balances close to the body.
The carry handle on top doubles as a sighting aid and a convenient way to carry the rifle between games or around the garden.
How a spring rifle works
Pulling the cocking mechanism compresses a spring behind a piston. When you pull the trigger, the spring drives the piston forward and pushes a burst of air behind the BB. You get one shot per cocking action, which encourages careful aiming and good habits.
With nothing to charge or fill, the rifle is always ready to use, and running costs are limited to BBs.
Getting the best from it
Set up a safe target area with a backstop, such as a box filled with old cloth or a purpose-made BB trap, so BBs are caught rather than bouncing back. Paper targets or tin cans a few metres away are perfect for practice.
Load only when you are ready to shoot, keep your finger off the trigger until you are aiming at the target, and pick up spent BBs afterwards. This is a budget spring rifle designed for fun and practice rather than competitive skirmishing.

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
Wipe the gun down after each game and keep it dry. Run a cleaning rod with a soft patch through the inner barrel from time to time to keep accuracy consistent.
Use good quality, seamless 6mm BBs; poor BBs cause jams and can damage the hop-up rubber. Avoid dry-firing too often, as firing without a BB in the chamber puts extra stress on the piston and cylinder head.
If you are storing the gun for a long period, leave it uncocked so the main spring is not held under compression.
Who is it for?
The Vigor L85 is ideal for beginners, younger shooters under adult supervision, garden target practice and fans of British military styling who want an inexpensive, no-fuss rifle.
Please note: BBs are not mentioned as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, and check your site’s power limits before play.
