Description
Vigor L86A2 Spring Rifle with Torch and Red Dot Sight (Blue – L86A2)
The Vigor L86A2 is a spring-powered airsoft rifle modelled on the L86A2 Light Support Weapon, the longer-barrelled member of the British Army’s SA80 bullpup family. This version is finished in blue and supplied with a torch and a red dot sight, so you can get it set up and shooting with very little extra outlay.
The SA80 family is instantly recognisable to anyone in the UK, and its bullpup layout, with the action behind the trigger, makes for a long barrel in a relatively compact package. Vigor’s spring version brings that iconic look within reach of beginners and younger players, with simple, dependable operation and no running costs beyond BBs.
How it works
As a spring rifle, the L86A2 is cocked by hand before every shot, which compresses the spring inside. When you pull the trigger, the spring drives a piston forward and pushes air behind the BB. There is no gas or battery to worry about, so it works the same regardless of the weather and is always ready to go. The manual cocking makes shooting deliberate and steady, ideal for learning accuracy and safe handling.
The red dot and torch
The supplied red dot sight gives a simple illuminated aiming point that makes it easier to put BBs where you want them, especially for newer shooters. The torch lets you light up targets in dim conditions, adds to the tactical look and is great fun for evening garden sessions. Both mount on the rifle, so the package looks complete straight out of the box.
Handling
The bullpup layout puts the weight back towards your shoulder, which many shooters find steady and comfortable to hold on aim. The long barrel profile of the L86A2 adds to its distinctive silhouette. Being a budget spring rifle, it is lighter than a full metal AEG, making it manageable for younger and smaller players.

Compatibility
Use 6mm airsoft BBs only; lighter BBs generally suit spring rifles of this type best. Use magazines made for this model, as magazines for SA80-pattern AEGs from other brands are unlikely to fit a budget spring rifle. Check what type of batteries the torch and red dot need before your first session.
Care and maintenance
Do not dry-fire repeatedly without a BB, and never leave the rifle cocked in storage. Remove the batteries from the torch and red dot if you will not be using them for a while, to prevent leakage. Use clean BBs and do not reuse fired ones. Wipe the rifle down after use and keep it dry. Clean the barrel occasionally with a rod and dry patch, and make sure it is unloaded before putting it away.
Who is it for?
This rifle suits beginners, younger players and anyone wanting an affordable SA80-style replica for garden target practice or British-themed games. The included red dot and torch make it particularly good value as a first rifle or a gift.
Please note: Always wear suitable eye and face protection when shooting, and make sure everyone nearby does too.
