Description
WE 1911 Magazine Fill Valve (WE-1911-83)
This is a replacement fill valve for WE 1911 gas magazines. WE (WE-Tech) is one of the best-known Taiwanese makers of gas blowback pistols and rifles, and its magazines are built so that worn or damaged parts can be replaced individually rather than throwing away the whole magazine. The 1911 is WE’s replica of the classic single-stack .45 pistol. This valve is listed as part WE-1911-83.
The fill valve, sometimes called the charging valve, is the small valve in the base of the magazine where you inject gas. It is a one-way valve: it opens when the gas can nozzle presses on it and should close and seal as soon as you stop. Over time its seal can wear or grit can stop it seating, and the magazine will leak.
Signs the fill valve needs replacing
The most common symptom is gas hissing from the base of the magazine during or after filling, or a magazine that is full in the evening and empty by the morning. Before replacing the valve, check that it is screwed in fully and that the seal around it is clean; sometimes simply tightening the valve or adding a drop of silicone oil is enough. If it still leaks, a new valve is an inexpensive fix that brings a good magazine back into service.
Fitting
Fill valves are normally screwed into the base of the magazine and are removed with a valve key or a suitable tool. Make sure the magazine is completely empty of gas before you start. Unscrew the old valve, check that the threads and the seat in the magazine are clean, then fit the new valve and tighten it firmly but without forcing it. Refill, then check for leaks by listening and by watching for frost or bubbles around the base.

Compatibility
Listed for WE 1911 gas magazines. Check that your magazine is a WE single-stack 1911 magazine, not a Hi-Capa magazine. Valves from different makers, and sometimes from different WE models, can look similar but differ in thread or length, so compare with your existing valve before fitting. If you are unsure, contact us with your magazine model before ordering.
Care and maintenance
To keep your magazines sealing well, put a drop of silicone oil on the fill valve and on the top of the magazine every few games, use the gas recommended for your replica, and do not overfill. Storing magazines with a small amount of gas inside helps keep the seals supple between games. Keep magazines out of direct sunlight and away from heat.
Who is it for?
This part is for owners of WE 1911 gas magazines who have a magazine leaking from the base, or who want a spare valve on hand so a leak does not end their day early.
Please note: This listing is for the replacement part only; the magazine and gas are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when testing a gas magazine or replica.
