It lets you add a folding stock to a replica that has a Picatinny rail at the rear of the receiver, giving you a stable shoulder position when you need it and a compact package when you do not.
Side-folding stocks are popular on PDWs, SMGs and short rifles because they make the replica much shorter for carrying, storage and getting in and out of vehicles, while still letting you shoulder it properly in a game. Compatibility
This stock is listed with a 1913 Picatinny mount, so it is designed for replicas that have a Picatinny rail section at the rear of the receiver for mounting a stock, which is common on modern SMGs, PDWs and some rifles. It will not fit a standard M4 buffer tube or an AK stock trunnion without a suitable adaptor.

Care and maintenance
