WE 17 Series Magazine Follower (Part 64)
This is a replacement magazine follower for WE 17 series gas pistols, identified as part 64 in the WE parts system. The follower is the small part that sits on top of the magazine spring and pushes BBs up into the feed lip, one at a time.
WE 17 series pistols are among the most popular gas blowback pistols in airsoft, and their magazines get a lot of use. A worn, cracked or lost follower is a common reason for feeding problems, and replacing it is a cheap way to bring a magazine back into service.
Signs you need a new follower
If your magazine feeds poorly, leaves the last few BBs behind, double-feeds or jams, the follower may be worn, cracked or sticking. A follower that has been lost during cleaning will stop the magazine feeding altogether. Inspect the follower carefully and replace it if it shows any damage or no longer slides freely.
It is worth checking the follower spring at the same time, as a weak spring can cause similar feeding problems.
Fitting
Empty the magazine of BBs and gas before working on it. Follow the exploded diagram for your magazine to remove the old follower, then fit the new one the same way round. Make sure it moves smoothly along the BB channel before you load the magazine again.

Care and maintenance

Store magazines with a little gas in them to keep the seals in good condition, and take care not to lose the follower and spring when cleaning.
