Care and maintenance
Follow the care label if one is fitted. In general, let mud dry and brush it off, then hand wash the item in cool water with a mild soap, rinse it thoroughly and leave it to dry naturally away from radiators and direct sunlight. Strong detergents and bleach can fade the colour and weaken fabric, elastic and stitching, so avoid them.
Make sure everything is completely dry before you pack it away, ideally in a breathable bag rather than sealed plastic. Look over straps, seams and fastenings every few games and replace anything that is worn or damaged.
