Description
Saigo M4 RIS Spring Action Rifle (Polymer – Black)
The Saigo M4 RIS is a spring-action airsoft rifle in the style of the M4 carbine, built from polymer and finished in black. It has the familiar M4 shape with a RIS (rail interface system) handguard, giving you an affordable, lightweight rifle that needs no battery or gas.
Spring-powered replicas are cocked by hand before every shot, so they need no battery and no gas. That makes them simple, inexpensive to run and unaffected by cold weather, and they are a popular way into the hobby as well as for target practice at home with a suitable BB trap. The M4 RIS is a sensible first rifle for newer players and an inexpensive option for target practice and casual games.
Design and build
The M4 is the most widely copied rifle in airsoft, and this Saigo version captures its well-known outline. The polymer construction keeps the rifle light and easy to handle, which is ideal for younger or smaller players and for long sessions of target shooting.
The RIS handguard gives the rifle a modern look and provides rails for mounting accessories such as a torch, grip or laser, so you can personalise it. Check the space available before ordering accessories.
How it works
Before each shot, the rifle is cocked by hand, compressing the spring that drives the piston. Pulling the trigger releases the spring and fires the BB. With no battery to charge and no gas to fill, it is always ready to go and works the same in any weather.
Firing a single shot per cocking encourages careful aiming and good shooting habits, which makes a spring rifle a good training tool.
Getting started
Read the manual first so you know how the safety works. Load the magazine, cock the rifle fully as the manual describes and fire a few shots at a safe backstop. If the rifle has an adjustable hop-up, set it a little at a time until the BBs fly level.
A spring rifle is ideal for practising in the garden or at an indoor range with a suitable BB trap. Always wear eye protection, even when target shooting.

Compatibility
Use magazines made for the Saigo M4 RIS spring rifle; magazines for electric (AEG) or gas M4 replicas are not designed for spring rifles and may not fit or feed. The RIS rails accept accessories designed for them; check the rail type and space before ordering. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs; 0.20g is a sensible starting weight.
Care and maintenance
Spring replicas need very little maintenance. Keep the inner barrel clean with a cleaning rod and a dry patch, use good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight, and wipe the outside with a lightly oiled cloth now and then to keep it looking good.
Store the replica uncocked so the spring is not left under tension, avoid dry firing without a BB more than necessary, and keep it somewhere dry.
Who is it for?
Newer players looking for an affordable first rifle, and anyone wanting a light, simple M4-style rifle for target practice or casual games.
Please note: BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection.
