Modify PP-2K Gas Blowback Submachine Gun (SMG, PP2000, Black)
The Modify PP-2K is a gas blowback replica of the Russian PP-2000, a compact submachine gun known for its angular, futuristic shape. This version is finished in black. Modify is a respected maker of airsoft parts and replicas, and the PP-2K reproduces the real gun’s function closely, with a working blowback action and select-fire capability.
Short, light and quick to handle, the PP-2K is a natural fit for CQB and indoor sites, and its unusual looks make it a standout choice for players who want something different from the usual MP5 or MP7. It also works well as a compact secondary for players who carry a larger primary.
Build and features
The PP-2K’s main construction is metal, with an all-steel trigger mechanism and a steel folding stock. As on the real PP-2000, the stock can be removed and replaced by an extra-long magazine, which then acts as the stock. A 20mm Picatinny-style rail on top accepts red dots and other optics, and the lower receiver is designed to accept a dedicated flashlight.
The muzzle device is removable and sits on a 14mm counter-clockwise (CCW) thread, so it can be swapped for a suppressor. Overall length is about 580mm, keeping it short enough to move easily through buildings.
Performance
Fire modes are safe, semi and full auto, and the blowback action gives a real sense of recoil with each shot. The inner barrel is about 150mm long, and the hop-up helps the BBs hold a straight line at typical CQB distances. The standard magazine holds 22 rounds, so on full auto short bursts make the most of each magazine.
As with all gas replicas, the PP-2K is at its best in mild weather; in the cold, keep spare magazines warm in an inside pocket.

Compatibility
Uses Modify PP-2K magazines; check whether a magazine is a gas or CO2 type before buying spares, and use the gas recommended in the manual. The 14mm CCW thread accepts most airsoft suppressors and tracer units, and the top rail takes standard 20mm optics. Use good-quality 6mm BBs.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine’s fill valve and seals every few fills, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay tight. Do not overfill, and let magazines warm up to room temperature in cold weather rather than heating them.
Wipe the moving parts and the outer barrel with a thin film of silicone oil now and then, clean the inner barrel with a rod and patch, and use good quality seamless BBs. Never use petroleum-based oils on the seals.
