Description

Battleaxe Airsoft Selector Plate For G36 Series AEG

This Battleaxe selector plate is a replacement gearbox part listed for G36 series AEGs. The selector plate is the part that links the rifle’s external fire selector to the trigger mechanism inside the gearbox, and it decides whether the rifle fires on safe, semi or full auto.

Battleaxe produces a range of reasonably priced replacement parts for the most common AEG platforms, which makes it a sensible choice for players and technicians who want to put a rifle back into service without a big bill. A selector plate is a small part, but when it wears, cracks or loses its detent, the rifle can stop changing modes properly, jam on safe or fire on full auto when you wanted semi.

What the selector plate does

When you turn the selector lever on the outside of the rifle, the selector plate slides along the side of the gearbox. In its different positions it blocks the trigger, lets the cut-off lever operate for semi-automatic fire, or holds the cut-off out of the way for full auto. If the plate is worn, the selector may feel vague, may not click positively into each position, or the rifle may misbehave in one of its modes.

Fitting

G36-pattern rifles use their own selector layout, so a G36-specific plate is needed rather than a generic M4 part. Replacing it involves removing the gearbox from the rifle and taking off the parts that hold the selector plate in place. It is a straightforward job for anyone used to working on AEGs, and a good opportunity to check the trigger contacts, cut-off lever and the rest of the gearbox while it is out.

Key features

  • Replacement selector plate for G36 series AEGs
  • Links the external fire selector to the gearbox
  • Controls safe, semi and full-auto selection
  • A common fix for vague or stuck selectors
  • Budget-friendly Battleaxe replacement part
  • Good to keep as a spare for G36 rifles

Compatibility

Listed for G36 series AEGs. Parts can vary between manufacturers and between G36 variants, so compare the product images with your existing plate and confirm your rifle’s make before ordering. If in doubt, contact us with your rifle details.

Care and maintenance

Keep gearbox internals clean and lightly greased with a suitable AEG grease, avoiding excess grease, which collects dirt. When the gearbox is open, check the cut-off lever, trigger and selector springs for wear.

After reassembly, test each fire mode with the battery connected before taking the rifle to a game, and stop if the selector binds or feels gritty.

Who is it for?

It suits G36 owners whose selector has become unreliable, players building a spares kit for a well-used rifle, and technicians who service G36-pattern AEGs.

Please note: Fitting requires opening the gearbox. If you are not confident working on AEG internals, ask an experienced airsoft technician to fit it.
