Fitting

Support the slide properly, and use a suitable sight pusher or a nylon drift rather than a steel punch, so you do not mark the slide or sights. Centre the rear sight, check it is secure, and test with a few shots at a target, adjusting the rear sight sideways if needed.
Aiming with iron sights
Focus on the front sight, with the target slightly blurred, and line the front sight up evenly in the rear notch, with the tops level. Consistent sight alignment is the key to consistent hits.
