Description
Rossi L119A2 Style Neptune SAS 10.5 AEG with Mosfet (Full Metal – Programmable Trigger – Tan)
The Rossi Neptune SAS 10.5 is a tan, full metal AEG styled on the L119A2, the short-barrelled carbine associated with British special forces. It pairs a 10.5 inch barrel and a long railed handguard with a programmable MOSFET trigger unit, making it a compact, modern rifle with a lot of electronic features built in.
Rossi AEGs are sold widely in the UK and are known for coming with upgraded parts fitted as standard, and the Neptune range is its AR-pattern line. We also stock HPA versions of the Neptune SAS. This AEG version suits players who want L119A2 looks with upgraded internals and programmable fire modes, without having to send the rifle to a technician first.
Performance and internals
UK retailer listings describe a gearbox fitted with 16:1 CNC steel gears, bearing bushings, a steel-toothed piston, a CNC aluminium nozzle with an O-ring and a quick-change spring system, which lets the spring be swapped without opening the gearbox. A precision 6.02mm inner barrel and an adjustable hop-up fitted with a Maple Leaf Super Macaron bucking and Omega nub are also listed, a combination chosen for consistent backspin and good range.
The heart of the rifle is the programmable MOSFET. As well as protecting the trigger contacts and sharpening trigger response, retailers list features such as burst modes, a binary trigger setting and active braking, all set through the trigger and fire selector. Active braking stops the motor quickly after each shot, which helps the gearbox finish its cycle cleanly.
Build and handling
The receiver, handguard and stock tube are listed as metal, with a collapsible stock. The long railed handguard gives plenty of room for a foregrip, light, laser or optic mounts, and the 10.5 inch barrel keeps the overall length short enough for buildings and vehicles. The tan finish matches desert and coyote kit.
One retailer lists flip-up iron sights adjustable for windage and elevation and a 14mm counter-clockwise thread on the outer barrel for flash hiders, suppressors and tracer units. Another lists a Deans connector with the wiring running to the stock tube, with a 7.4V LiPo stick battery recommended.
Setting it up
Fit a charged battery, load a magazine and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat, without rising at the end of their flight. Then explore the MOSFET’s programming options using the instructions supplied, and set the fire modes that suit your site’s rules: many sites restrict full auto indoors, and burst or binary settings can help keep your rate of fire under control.

Compatibility
Retailer listings state that the rifle takes M4/AR-15 pattern AEG magazines, so most standard M4 mid-caps should fit, although fit varies between brands, so test any new magazine before a game. A 7.4V LiPo stick battery with a Deans connector is recommended by one retailer; check the space in the stock tube before buying. The handguard rails accept standard 20mm accessories. Use good-quality seamless 6mm BBs; 0.25g BBs are a good match for an AEG of this type.
Care and maintenance
Always disconnect the battery when the rifle is not in use, and store LiPo batteries partly charged and away from the rifle. Clean the inner barrel with a rod and patch regularly, especially after changing BB brand. Keep the rifle dry and wipe it down after outdoor games. Use only clean, seamless BBs, and if you open the gearbox or change the spring, leave the work to someone experienced with V2 gearboxes.
Who is it for?
The Neptune SAS 10.5 suits players who want an L119A2-style carbine with genuine upgrades fitted from the factory, especially those who value programmable fire modes for different sites. It is equally at home in woodland skirmishes and close-quarter games.
Please note: A battery, charger and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye protection when using any airsoft replica.
