Description
King Arms MDT LSS Tactical Rifle Sniper Rifle (Gas – Tan – KA-AG-176-DE)
The King Arms MDT LSS Tactical Rifle is a gas-powered, bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle built into a licensed replica of the MDT LSS chassis, here in tan (KA-AG-176-DE). The LSS is a compact, modern precision-rifle chassis, and King Arms pairs it with M700-pattern gas internals for a rifle that looks and handles like a contemporary tactical bolt gun.
King Arms carries licences from MDT for the chassis and CAA for the stock, and the LSS is a shorter, handier alternative to the TAC21. It suits players who want a modern sniper platform that is easier to carry through woodland and buildings than a full-length rifle.
Build and dimensions
A UK retailer listing describes an aluminium outer barrel, receiver, chassis, buffer tube and bolt, steel parts for the magazine release, hop-up adjuster and castle nut, and a high-density polymer stock and pistol grip. It gives a 19-inch fluted outer barrel, a 480mm inner barrel, a length of 97cm collapsed and 105cm extended, and a weight of around 3.6kg.
The stock is a licensed CAA collapsible design on a six-position buffer tube, with QD sling sockets and an adjustable cheek piece, and the pistol grip is A2 style. A 20mm Picatinny rail runs along the receiver, and the negative-space handguard comes with a 20mm rail adapter for a bipod or other accessory.
How it works
Green gas is stored in the magazine, and each shot is chambered by working the bolt. The same listing describes Tanaka M700-based internals with a PCS adjustable bolt, which lets the output be tuned, and notes that there is no spring resistance when cocking, so bolt work is light and fast.
The hop-up is a TDC-type adjustable unit with an external dial on the top rail, so you can fine-tune it in the field without dismantling the rifle. The safety is a two-position trigger disconnect. In cold weather, gas pressure drops, so keep the magazine warm between shots.

Compatibility
Spare magazines should be King Arms gas M700 or MDT LSS types; the TAC21 magazine is listed by a UK retailer as compatible with both. Use green gas, and start with 0.25g or heavier seamless BBs once the hop-up is set.
The receiver rail takes standard 20mm optic mounts and the handguard rail adapter suits a bipod or light. Check that any internal upgrades are listed for King Arms or Tanaka-type gas M700 rifles, as spring VSR-10 parts will not fit.
Care and maintenance
Fill the magazine with the gas recommended in the manual, in short steady bursts and without overfilling. A drop of silicone oil on the fill valve and seals every few fills keeps them supple, and magazines are best stored with a little gas in them so the seals stay seated. Gas pressure falls in cold weather, so keep the magazine warm in a pocket between shots on chilly days.
Retailers note that these rifles need lubrication, so keep the bolt and moving parts lightly lubricated with a suitable silicone product. Clean the inner barrel now and then with a rod and a lightly dampened patch, use high-quality seamless BBs and store the rifle unloaded, with the magazine removed, in a padded case so the barrel and any optic stay aligned.
Who is it for?
The LSS is for experienced players who want a compact, modern gas sniper rifle with licensed MDT and CAA furniture, particularly those who move a lot and want something shorter than a full-length bolt gun. The tan finish suits desert, coyote and multicam loadouts.
Please note: Gas, BBs, bipod and optics are not listed as included. Retailers describe this rifle as needing lubrication and suited to experienced players. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
