Description
Double Eagle M61 VSR-10 Sniper Rifle (Black)
The Double Eagle M61 is a spring-powered, bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle styled on the VSR-10, finished in black. Each shot is cocked by hand with the bolt, so there is no battery to charge and no gas to buy, which makes it one of the simplest and most affordable ways to try the sniper role.
Double Eagle is known for budget-friendly replicas, and the M61 is aimed squarely at newer players. A US retailer describes it as lightweight and beginner-friendly, and its classic VSR-10 silhouette is slim, easy to carry and comfortable to shoulder from cover.
Build and materials
The stock is polymer, which keeps the rifle light and shrugs off wet weather, while the outer barrel is metal. A metal monolithic rail runs above the bolt assembly, giving you a firm base for a scope. Black is the most versatile finish and works with almost any loadout.
The rifle feeds from a 20-round magazine, which is plenty for the measured, one-shot-at-a-time style of play a bolt-action rifle encourages.
How it works
Pull the bolt back and push it forward to compress the spring and chamber a BB, then fire. Because it is spring powered, the rifle performs the same in winter as in summer, and you never have to worry about a flat battery or cold gas mid-game.
Read the manual so you are familiar with the safety and loading, then set the hop-up and try a couple of BB weights to find the most consistent. Once you are happy, zero any scope to match and have the rifle chronographed at your site before play.
Using it on the field
Sniping is about patience and positioning rather than raw power. Pick a spot with good cover and a clear view of a lane or objective, stay still and take your time over each shot. Many sites set minimum engagement distances for bolt-action rifles and expect snipers to carry a sidearm, so check the rules and pair the M61 with a pistol.

Compatibility
The M61 uses Double Eagle M61 magazines; we list a 25-round M61 magazine separately, so check the model before ordering spares. VSR-10 styling does not guarantee that Tokyo Marui VSR-10 internal upgrades or magazines will fit, so please check with us before buying upgrade parts.
The top rail takes a scope with suitable 20mm mounts. Heavier seamless BBs, from about 0.25g up, usually suit a sniper rifle once the hop-up is set.
Care and maintenance
Avoid dry-firing the rifle without BBs, as the piston then strikes the cylinder head without any resistance, which adds wear. Store it uncocked so the spring is not left compressed, and keep it in a padded bag or case so the barrel and any optic stay aligned.
Clean the inner barrel now and then with a rod and a lightly dampened patch, use high-quality seamless BBs, and keep the magazine and feed area free from grit. A sniper rifle rewards consistent ammunition, so once you have found a BB weight that suits your hop-up setting, stick with it.
Who is it for?
The M61 suits newer players who want an affordable, simple bolt-action rifle to try the sniper role, and anyone who values the all-weather reliability of a spring rifle. We also list the same rifle in blue.
Please note: Scope, bipod and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
