This is a replacement charging handle in black for the GHK G5 gas blowback rifle. GHK is known for realistic, hard-kicking gas blowback replicas, and the G5 brings that experience to an M4-style platform.
The GHK G5 is an M4-style gas blowback rifle, built around a polymer upper and lower receiver with metal internals, and it has an ambidextrous charging handle. The charging handle is used to chamber the first round and is one of the most handled parts on the rifle, so it is also one of the parts most likely to be bent or broken.
Why replace it
A cracked, bent or broken charging handle makes it hard to load the first round and spoils the look of the rifle. It is a small part to replace, and having one on hand means a broken handle does not end your day early.
Fitting
Remove the magazine and make sure the rifle is unloaded and the bolt is forward. Separate the upper receiver following the instructions for your rifle, slide out the bolt carrier group and remove the old charging handle. Fit the new handle in the same orientation, check that the latch moves freely and that the handle runs smoothly in its channel before reassembling.
