Practising with a target
Set the target up in front of a safe backstop on firm, level ground. Start close, at around five metres, and move back as your hits become consistent. Reactive targets are particularly good for practising quick follow-up shots and transitions between targets, and for keeping younger shooters interested.
Use the target with pistols and lower-powered replicas at a sensible distance unless the box says otherwise, as high-powered shots at very close range wear any target more quickly.
