Description
ACM .68 Calibre Gas Powered 40mm Airsoft Grenade
This ACM item is a gas-powered 40mm airsoft grenade shell, the kind of round that is loaded into a 40mm grenade launcher and fired to send a spread of projectiles downrange in one shot. The listing describes it as .68 calibre. A 40mm shell turns an underbarrel or standalone launcher into a working piece of kit, giving a support player a way to hit a doorway or a group of opponents at once.
ACM produces affordable accessories and launcher rounds, and a gas shell like this one is reusable: once fired, it can be refilled and reloaded rather than thrown away.
How 40mm gas shells work
A 40mm gas shell has a gas reservoir and a set of loading holes or a chamber at the front. You load the ammunition, fill the reservoir with gas, then load the shell into the launcher. When the launcher’s hammer strikes the shell’s valve, the gas is released all at once and the load is fired out. Because the .68 calibre description refers to a larger projectile than a 6mm BB, please check the product images or ask us what ammunition this shell is set up for before ordering.
Using it
Launchers are most effective for indirect and area fire: at a building entrance, over a hedge line, or into a group of players. Fill with gas just before use and do not leave the shell pressurised in your pouch for hours.
