ACM 8mm Steel BBs (100 Rounds)
This is a pack of 100 ACM 8mm steel balls. Steel balls of this kind are hard, heavy, uniform spheres, and in this size they are generally used as catapult (slingshot) ammunition for target shooting, where their weight and consistency help shots fly true.
ACM is a brand found across a wide range of accessories, and a pack of 100 gives a useful supply for target sessions. Please note that despite the name, these are steel balls, not plastic airsoft BBs.
Important: not for airsoft replicas
Never load steel balls into an airsoft gun of any kind. Airsoft replicas are designed only for 6mm (or, for some shotguns and specialist replicas, 8mm) plastic or biodegradable BBs. Steel will damage the hop-up, barrel and internals, and fired at a person it can cause serious injury. Steel balls also must never be used in airsoft games.
Using steel ammunition safely
Steel shot can rebound from hard surfaces, so shoot only at a suitable target with a safe backstop, such as a catch box or heavy hanging fabric, and keep well away from stone, concrete, metal and water. Always wear proper eye protection, keep onlookers behind the shooter, and never shoot towards people, animals, property or over boundaries.
Choosing the right size
Catapults and slingshots are set up for particular ammunition sizes and weights. Check the size your catapult or its bands are matched to, as larger balls need stronger bands to shoot well, and lighter bands paired with heavy shot can be slow and inaccurate.

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
Keep the balls dry and store them in a sealed container, as plain steel can rust if left damp. If they do get wet, dry them thoroughly and a light wipe of oil will help protect them. Discard any balls that are pitted or deformed, as they will not fly accurately.
