ACM Anti-Reflection Device (Kill Flash)
This is an ACM anti-reflection device, more commonly called a kill flash. It is a honeycomb-pattern filter that fits over the front lens of an optic to cut down the glint of sunlight reflecting off the glass, which can give away your position.
Kill flashes are used on real-world optics for exactly this reason, and on an airsoft rifle they add both a practical benefit and an authentic, field-ready look. ACM makes a wide range of affordable replica optics and accessories, and this is a simple, low-cost addition to a scoped rifle.
How it works
The honeycomb cells act like a cluster of tiny tubes. Light coming straight through reaches the lens as normal, while light arriving at an angle is blocked, so far less sunlight bounces back off the glass towards anyone looking your way. You may notice the view is slightly darker, which is the usual trade-off for reduced glare.
It also gives the front lens a little protection from twigs, knocks and stray BBs, which is useful on replica optics with thinner glass.

Kill flashes are made in different sizes and fitting styles for different optics. ACM also makes kill flashes for specific sights, such as ACOG-style scopes, micro dots and 552/551-style holographic sights.
Once fitted, make sure the device sits securely and squarely so it does not move when the rifle is knocked.

Care and maintenance
Remove the kill flash now and then to clean the lens behind it with a lens cloth, as dust can collect inside the honeycomb. Blow out debris rather than poking the cells, which can bend them.
Wipe off mud after games and store your optic somewhere dry.
