Description
ACM HHS (Behind) Rifle Scope (Black)
This ACM optic in black is listed as the HHS (Behind) rifle scope. HHS stands for Holographic Hybrid Sight, the real-world name for a setup that pairs a holographic sight with a magnifier mounted behind it. The ‘Behind’ in our listing name suggests this unit is the rear element of that pairing, so please check the product images to confirm exactly what is supplied.
A hybrid optic setup is popular on M4 and other rail-equipped rifles, because it gives you a fast sight for close quarters and a magnified view for spotting and longer shots. ACM’s version offers the HHS look at an affordable price.
How a hybrid sight works
In an HHS-style setup the holographic or dot sight sits at the front and does the aiming. The magnifier sits behind it, so when you look through both you see a magnified view of the same aiming point. For close-range targets you use the front sight on its own.
Because the aiming point comes from the front sight, you zero that sight and simply position the rear unit where it gives a clear, comfortable view.
Before you order
Optic setups like this need the front and rear units to sit at a matching height. Check the product images for the mount and the height of this unit, and compare them with the sight you plan to use it with.
