Description
ACM L86A2 Spring Rifle (Black – L86A2)
The ACM L86A2 Spring Rifle is a budget spring-powered airsoft replica of the British L86A2 Light Support Weapon, finished in black. The L86 is the long-barrelled member of the SA80 family, and its bullpup layout and long barrel give this replica a distinctive British military look.
ACM makes affordable replicas and accessories, and this spring L86A2 is an easy, low-cost way to own the SA80 shape. With no battery to charge and no gas to buy, it is ideal for plinking, target practice and younger or newer shooters learning the basics.
How a spring rifle works
A spring rifle is cocked by hand before each shot, compressing a spring that drives a piston to fire the BB when you pull the trigger. That makes it simple, reliable and unaffected by weather, and it encourages careful, deliberate shooting.
Running costs are minimal: all you need is a supply of good quality BBs.
Design and handling
The bullpup layout places the action behind the trigger, so the rifle is shorter overall than its long barrel suggests. That keeps the balance close to your body and makes the rifle steady to hold when you take aim.
The L86’s long barrel and support-weapon styling make it a popular choice for British-themed loadouts and collections.
Getting started
Read the manual so you understand how to cock the rifle, how the safety works and how to load the magazine. Set up a target in front of a safe backstop and practise steady aiming before trying faster shooting.
Key features
- Spring-powered L86A2-style bullpup rifle
- Black finish
- No battery or gas needed
- Simple, reliable and weather-proof
- Low running costs
- Ideal for plinking and target practice
Compatibility
Use 6mm airsoft BBs only; light BBs generally suit budget spring rifles best. Use magazines made for this model, as magazines for SA80-pattern AEGs from other brands are unlikely to fit a budget spring rifle.
Care and maintenance
Never store a spring replica cocked, and avoid repeated dry firing without BBs, as both strain the spring and piston. Use clean, good quality BBs and never reuse BBs picked up from the floor, as dirt is the main cause of jams.
Clean the barrel occasionally with a rod and dry patch, wipe the replica down after outdoor use and keep it somewhere dry. Check screws and fittings now and then and tighten any that have worked loose.
Who is it for?
Newer and younger shooters under supervision, plinkers and collectors who want an affordable L86A2-style rifle with no batteries or gas to worry about.
Please note: Always wear suitable eye and face protection when shooting, and make sure everyone nearby does too.
