Description
Action Army AAP-01C Short Gas Blowback Pistol (Ruger MKII Style, Black)
The AAP-01C is the short, compact version of Action Army’s AAP-01 Assassin, a gas blowback pistol with styling reminiscent of the Ruger MK-series .22 target pistols. It is designed around G-series internals, so it shares magazines with a huge range of pistols, and it is a popular base for upgrades.
Build and performance
It is built from aluminium alloy and fibre-reinforced polymer, with a steel bolt latch and fibre optic sights. It runs on green gas, and a rear-mounted selector gives safe, semi and full-auto. The hop-up is adjustable and the outer barrel is threaded so you can fit a mock suppressor or compensator. Rails above and below let you add an optic, torch or laser.
Key features
- Compact AAP-01 Assassin layout with Ruger MK-style looks
- Semi and full-auto, selectable at the rear
- Threaded outer barrel for a suppressor or compensator
- Upper and lower rails for optics and accessories
- Reversible magazine catch for left or right-handed use
- Takes AAP-01 and Tokyo Marui spec G-series gas magazines
- Fibre optic sights
Good to know
Run it on a good-quality green gas made for airsoft, never lighter fluid or butane, and keep the magazine lips and seals lightly lubricated with silicone oil. Gas pistols lose some efficiency in cold weather, so warm the magazine in your hand or a pocket on chilly days. Full-auto uses gas quickly, so a few spare magazines are worthwhile. As this is a realistic-coloured replica, it is classed as a realistic imitation firearm (RIF) in the UK, so you will need a valid defence such as UKARA registration to buy it, and you must be 18 or over. Always wear eye protection and check your site’s power limits before playing.
