Description
AGM/S&T MP40 AEG (AGM/S&T-MP007 – Blue)
The AGM/S&T MP007 is an electric replica of the MP40, the famous Second World War submachine gun with its under-folding metal stock and long, straight magazine. This version is finished in blue, a striking change from the traditional black that makes it a talking point at any game or collection.
AGM’s MP40 has been a favourite of WW2 reenactors and skirmishers for years because it offers a historically recognisable shape in a robust, metal-bodied AEG. It is compact with the stock folded and steady with it extended, so it works at CQB sites as well as outdoors.
Build and handling
The MP007 has a metal frame and body, giving it a solid feel and a weight of around 2.8kg. Overall length is around 610mm with the stock folded and around 832mm with it extended. The under-folding stock locks out to give a stable shoulder position for aimed shots, and folds away when you need the gun as compact as possible.
Like the original, it feeds from a long, straight stick magazine below the receiver. The low-capacity magazine holds 34 rounds, which suits themed games and events where realistic ammunition counts are encouraged.
Performance
The MP007 is an AEG with an adjustable hop-up and a 255mm inner barrel. A fire switch on the side of the gun selects single shots or continuous fire. It is listed as compatible with 8.4V mini batteries and 7.4V LiPo batteries, so check the battery space and connector before buying a pack.
A 34-round magazine encourages careful, well-placed shooting rather than spraying, and most MP40 users carry several spare magazines in a pouch. If you play at a site that allows mid-cap or hi-cap magazines, check what is available for the MP40 before you buy spares.
Getting started
Charge your battery on a proper charger and fit it following the manual. Load a magazine and test-fire at a safe backstop, starting with the hop-up off and bringing it up gradually until shots fly flat. A few minutes of zeroing at the range makes a big difference to your confidence on the field.
Practise magazine changes and battery swaps at home, and get the rifle chronographed at the site before your first game.

Compatibility
Use MP40 magazines made for the AGM MP007 or listed as compatible with it, as MP40 magazines differ between makers. The rifle is listed for 8.4V mini type NiMH and 7.4V LiPo batteries; check the battery space and connector before ordering. Use good quality 6mm BBs; 0.20g or 0.25g BBs suit most players.
Care and maintenance
Remove the battery whenever you are not using the rifle, and never leave a LiPo charging unattended. Run a cleaning rod with a clean patch through the inner barrel regularly to keep accuracy consistent, and only use clean, seamless BBs of a decent brand.
After muddy or wet games, wipe the outside down and let the rifle dry naturally before casing it. Check that rails, accessories and the stock are tight, and have any gearbox work carried out by an experienced technician.
Who is it for?
The MP007 suits WW2 reenactors, themed-game players and collectors, and anyone who wants a compact, metal-bodied SMG with a classic look. The blue finish makes it a distinctive piece for collectors of coloured replicas.
Please note: the name does not say whether a battery and charger are included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using airsoft replicas.
