This Amoeba by Ares end plate replaces the standard end plate at the rear of an M4 buffer tube and adds a quick-detach (QD) sling socket, supplied with a sling swivel. It gives you a secure, central attachment point for a single-point or two-point sling right at the back of the receiver, where it helps the rifle hang naturally and swap easily between shoulders.

How it works
The end plate sits between the receiver and the castle nut on the buffer tube, so it is held firmly in place once the nut is tightened. The QD socket accepts a push-button quick-detach swivel, which clicks in securely and can be released in a moment when you want to remove the sling, switch it to the other side, or hand the rifle to a marshal.
Mounting the sling at the rear of the receiver keeps the rifle close to the body and lets you transition from one shoulder to the other without fighting the sling, which is especially handy in CQB.
Fitting
Fitting usually means loosening the castle nut, removing the stock if required, swapping the end plate and re-tightening the nut. A castle nut wrench makes this much easier. Take care to keep any buffer tube wiring clear when reassembling.

Compatibility
Designed for M4-pattern AEGs with a standard buffer tube and castle nut arrangement. Rifles with fixed stocks, folding stock adapters or non-standard buffer tubes may not accept it, so check your rifle before ordering. The QD swivel works with most slings that use a standard loop or webbing attachment.
Care and maintenance
Check that the castle nut is tight before each game, and inspect the QD swivel’s button and balls for dirt; a quick clean and a drop of light oil keeps the mechanism working smoothly. Always test that the swivel has locked into the socket by pulling on it before relying on it.
