APS XPOWER Smart Shells (CAM152) are spare gas shells for APS CAM shell-ejecting shotguns, supplied as a pack of four. They are listed for the MK1 and MK3 series, and each shell carries its own gas charge and load of BBs, so every shell you load is a fully self-contained shot.
The CAM (Cartridge Airsoft Munition) system is what gives APS shotguns their realism: you load shells into the tube, rack the pump and a spent shell is ejected from the port. Having more shells means more shots before you have to stop and refill, which is the single biggest upgrade for anyone running a CAM shotgun.
How CAM shells work
Each shell is charged with gas and loaded with BBs before the game. When the shotgun fires, the shell releases its gas behind the BBs, and racking the pump ejects it so the next shell can feed. The XPOWER shells are part of APS’s Smart range, which is filled using APS smart charging adapters.

Shell management in a game
With a shell-ejecting shotgun, spent shells end up on the ground, so practise picking them up after an engagement or use a dump pouch. A pack of four gives you a handy boost to your shell count, and many CAM users carry two or three packs so they can keep fighting while the empties are refilled.
Mark your shells with a small dot of paint or tape in your own colour so you can spot them easily on the field and at the end of the day.

Compatibility

Care and maintenance
Never point a charged shell at anyone, never try to open or modify a charged shell, and store shells empty of gas. Keep the shell seals and threads clean and put a drop of silicone oil on the seals now and then so they stay supple.
After a muddy or wet game, wipe the shells down and let them dry before putting them away. Check the seals regularly and replace worn parts rather than using a shell that leaks.
