The Ares Amoeba Barricade Stop is a modular accessory that mounts to an M-LOK handguard. It does two jobs: it works as a hand stop for your support hand, and it gives you a solid edge to rest against a barricade, wall or door frame when you are shooting from cover.
Ares is a Hong Kong manufacturer whose Amoeba range covers popular AEGs and a line of M-LOK accessories designed to match them. The barricade stop suits players who spend a lot of time shooting around cover, whether in woodland, in buildings or on speedsoft courses, and who want a steadier, more repeatable firing position.
Using it
Fitted near the front of the handguard, the barricade stop gives your support hand a positive stop and lets you press the rifle against cover without the handguard slipping. Shooting with the rifle braced on a barricade steadies your aim and lets you hold a position for longer with less effort.

Building a set-up
The barricade stop works alongside other Amoeba and M-LOK accessories, such as angled grips and vertical grips, so you can build up a handguard that suits the way you shoot. Keep the front of the handguard clear enough for a light or other accessories if you use them.

Compatibility
Fits M-LOK handguards, including Ares Amoeba handguards and other standard M-LOK rails. It will not fit KeyMod or Picatinny-only handguards. Check that you have free M-LOK slots where you want to fit it.
Care and maintenance
Check the mounting screws before each game and tighten them if needed, without over-tightening into the polymer body or a polymer handguard. Wipe off mud and grit after use, and inspect the edge that contacts barricades for cracks from time to time.
