Description

Ares Amoeba Striker Sniper Rifle Stud Bipod (Black)

This is an Ares stud-mount bipod listed for the Amoeba Striker bolt-action sniper rifle, in black. A stud bipod attaches to a sling stud under the fore-end rather than to a rail, which keeps the underside of the rifle clean and suits stocks that do not carry a full-length rail.

A bipod is one of the most useful additions a sniper can make. Resting the rifle on two legs takes the weight off your arms, steadies the crosshair and lets you watch a lane for long periods without fatigue. This one suits Striker owners who want a stable firing position when prone or shooting from cover.

Why use a bipod

Even a well-set-up rifle is only as steady as the person holding it. With the fore-end supported on a bipod, your hands only have to control the grip and trigger, so the sight picture moves far less as you squeeze. That makes a real difference at longer ranges, where a small wobble at the muzzle becomes a large miss at the target.

A bipod also lets you set up a position and wait. You can lie behind the rifle, scan through the scope and stay ready to shoot without holding its weight the whole time.

Fitting and use

Stud-mount bipods are fitted by attaching them to the sling stud on the underside of the fore-end, usually with a clamp or thread that tightens onto the stud. Check the product images to see how this one attaches, and make sure your Striker has a suitable stud fitted before ordering.

On the field, fold the legs forward or back when moving and deploy them when you take up a position. Settle the rifle with gentle forward pressure into the bipod for a steadier hold, and choose firm ground where you can, as soft mud lets the legs sink.

Key features

  • Bipod listed for the Ares Amoeba Striker sniper rifle
  • Attaches to a sling stud rather than a rail
  • Black finish
  • Supports the rifle for steadier prone and rested shooting
  • Reduces arm fatigue while watching a lane
  • Keeps the underside of the fore-end free of rails

Compatibility

Listed for the Ares Amoeba Striker sniper rifle and designed to attach to a sling stud. Other rifles with a standard sling stud may also accept it, but check the stud type and position on your rifle against the product images before ordering. It is not a rail-mount bipod, so it will not clamp directly onto a Picatinny or M-LOK rail without a suitable stud adaptor.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the legs and hinges clean after use, especially after muddy or sandy games, and let the bipod dry before storing it. A tiny drop of light oil on the hinge and spring points keeps the legs moving smoothly.

Check the mounting is tight before each game, because a loose bipod will shift as you shoot and undo the benefit of using one. Do not carry the rifle by the bipod.

Who is it for?

Striker owners and other bolt-action players who want a stable, steady firing position for prone and rested shooting, without adding a rail to the fore-end.

Please note: The rifle is not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when using airsoft replicas.
