Description
Ares SL9 AEG Sniper Rifle (Tactical ECU Version – SR-015E)
The Ares SL9 Tactical (SR-015E) is an electric designated marksman rifle styled on the SL8/SL9 family, built on a G36-type platform and fitted with Ares’s electronic control unit (ECU). It combines a lightweight nylon fibre body with a reinforced metal gearbox, a full steel gear set and an electric blowback action, giving a modern marksman rifle with plenty of character.
Ares is known for building innovative electronics into its rifles, and the SL9 Tactical is a good example. The electronic gearbox (EFCS) adds programmable fire modes and protection for the internals, while the blowback action gives a little feedback with every shot. It suits players who want a distinctive marksman rifle that is equally happy as a general-purpose primary.
Build and handling
The body is lightweight nylon fibre, which keeps the rifle manageable despite its size, while metal is used where strength matters. A Picatinny top rail takes your scope or red dot, and the ambidextrous selector makes the rifle equally comfortable for left and right-handed shooters.
The SL9’s long, marksman-rifle lines give it a very different look from the usual M4 or AK, and it shoulders naturally for steady, aimed shots.
Electronics and performance
The reinforced metal gearbox houses Ares’s EFCS electronic control unit and a full steel gear set, driven by an Ares motor. The rifle fires on safe, semi, three-round burst and full auto, so you can keep it on semi for careful marksman work and switch to burst or auto when the action comes close.
The electric blowback (EBB) action moves with every shot for added realism. The hop-up is adjustable, so you can set it to suit heavier BBs for longer, flatter shots.
Getting started
Before your first game, charge your battery fully on a suitable charger, fit it and check the rifle fires on safe, semi and auto as expected. Set the hop-up from zero, adding a little at a time until the BB holds a straight, flat line, and then check where it lands at the distances you usually shoot.
Your site will chronograph the rifle before play. Spend a few minutes learning how to change the battery and clear a jam so you are not doing it for the first time mid-game.

Compatibility
The Picatinny top rail takes standard optics and mounts; a scope is not listed as included. Ares lists an 11.1V LiPo as the battery type for this rifle, so check the battery space and connector before buying a pack. Magazines and internal parts should be checked against the Ares SL series before ordering, so please ask us if you are unsure.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it away from the rifle, and charge LiPo batteries only on a proper balance charger under supervision. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a dry cloth patch every few games, as dirt and broken BB fragments are the main causes of flyers. Stick to good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight.
Check screws, the flash hider and any mounts before each game day, and store the rifle somewhere dry. Leave the hop-up at a light setting in storage, and if the rifle has an electronic trigger unit, a fully charged battery helps it read the trigger cleanly.
Who is it for?
The SL9 Tactical suits players who want a distinctive marksman rifle with modern electronics and blowback, and anyone looking for an eye-catching primary that is happy on semi or full auto.
Please note: A battery, charger and optic are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, and check your site’s rules for marksman rifles before play.
