Description
Ares SR25 DMR Sniper Rifle (Semi Only – 400 FPS – Tan – M110K – SR-011E)
The Ares SR25 M110K is a semi-auto-only electric marksman rifle styled on the Knight’s Armament SR-25 and its military M110K designation, finished in tan. The SR-25 is the classic 7.62mm-pattern designated marksman rifle, and this Ares replica captures its long, purposeful profile with licensed Knight’s Armament markings on the receiver.
Ares is a Hong Kong manufacturer known for its EFCS electronic gearboxes, and this rifle uses that system to give a clean, crisp semi-auto shot. It is named as a 400 FPS, semi-only rifle, which makes it well suited to the designated marksman role many UK sites allow. It suits players stepping into a DMR role, and anyone who wants a long, steady rifle for accurate, deliberate shooting. The M110K is the more compact of the two Ares SR25 M110 lengths we list.
Electronics and internals
Retailer listings for this rifle describe Ares’s Electronic Firing Control System (EFCS) with a MOSFET, and say the gearbox can be programmed with the optional Ares programmer to change how the rifle shoots. The fire selector is marked Safe and Fire, reflecting its semi-auto-only configuration. An electronic trigger like this gives a sharp, consistent trigger response and helps protect the electrics.
The listings also give an adjustable hop-up in the breech, a 7.4V battery with a small Tamiya connector, and a slot in the stock tube to house the battery. Choosing a battery that fits that space and suits the EFCS is the most important step in setting the rifle up.
Build and handling
The rifle is listed as aluminium alloy with nylon fibre parts, with a full quad rail system, a free-float outer barrel with a metal flash hider and an SR-25 scope mount. Retailer listings give the M110K as about 900mm long and around 3.4kg, making it a little more manageable in woodland and buildings than the full-length M110.
The quad rail gives plenty of room for a bipod, a torch and a grip, and the SR-25 scope mount gives a solid base for a magnified optic. A good sling is essential with a rifle of this size, and a bipod makes a real difference when shooting prone or from cover.
Using it as a DMR
Most UK sites have specific rules for designated marksman rifles, typically requiring semi-auto fire and setting minimum engagement distances. Check your site’s rules before your first game. Once the hop-up is set, many DMR players use slightly heavier BBs, which are less affected by wind and hold their line better at range.

Compatibility
Retailer listings give compatibility with Ares SR25 magazines; standard M4 magazines will not fit. We also list SR25-pattern magazines from other makers, but please check with us before buying spares for this rifle.
Choose a 7.4V battery that fits the stock tube slot and has, or is fitted with, the correct connector. Programming the EFCS requires the Ares programmer, sold separately. Standard 20mm accessories fit the quad rail. Once the hop-up is set, heavier seamless BBs often suit a marksman rifle.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it separately, at a sensible storage charge, rather than leaving it connected inside the rifle. If you use LiPo batteries, charge them with a proper balance charger and keep them in a LiPo-safe bag, and never leave them charging unattended.
Run a cleaning rod with a lightly dampened patch through the inner barrel from time to time to remove dirt and residue, which helps keep the hop-up consistent. Use good-quality seamless BBs, never reuse BBs that have been on the ground, and wipe the outside over after damp or muddy games. Leave gearbox work, shimming and spring changes to a competent technician.
Who is it for?
This Ares SR25 M110K is for players moving into a designated marksman role, for SR-25 fans who want licensed markings and modern electronics, and for anyone who enjoys accurate, deliberate semi-auto shooting with a long, steady rifle in tan.
