Description
WE Galaxy 1911 Gas Blowback Pistol (Black Frame – Gold Slide)
The WE Galaxy 1911 is a modern take on the classic 1911 pistol from WE, part of the brand’s Galaxy series of gas blowback pistols. This version pairs a black frame with a gold slide, giving it a distinctive two-tone look that stands out from the crowd while keeping the familiar 1911 shape and controls.
The Galaxy design adds practical modern touches to the 1911, including removable rail segments, a fibre optic front sight and a threaded muzzle. It is full metal and gas powered, with a working blowback action, so it feels solid and responsive. It makes a good sidearm for skirmishing, a fun pistol for target shooting and a striking addition to a collection.
Build and design
The pistol has a full metal construction, giving it a sturdy, weighty feel. The black frame and gold slide create a two-tone finish, and ergonomic, non-slip grip panels help you keep a firm hold. Detachable 20mm rail segments on the top and bottom let you fit a red dot or a pistol light and laser, and you can remove them for a cleaner profile when you do not need them.
Performance
The Galaxy 1911 runs on gas through WE 1911-series magazines, with retailers listing it for green gas or CO2 depending on the magazine used. Each shot cycles the blowback action for realistic recoil and quick follow-up shots. The magazine holds 15 BBs. An adjustable hop-up lets you match the BB’s flight to your choice of BB weight, and the fibre optic front sight is quick to pick up for fast aiming.
Maintenance and customisation
A hinged takedown design makes it easier to open the pistol for cleaning and hop-up adjustment. The threaded muzzle (14mm counter-clockwise) accepts compatible suppressors, compensators and tracer units, so you can personalise the look and function of the pistol.

Compatibility
Uses WE 1911-series magazines; whether it runs on green gas or CO2 depends on the magazine fitted, so check the magazine type before filling. The 20mm rail segments accept standard pistol red dots, lights and lasers, and the 14mm counter-clockwise muzzle thread accepts compatible suppressors and tracer units. Check holster fit, as the rails and threaded muzzle can affect which holsters suit.
Care and maintenance
Gas pistols reward a little regular care. Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine fill valve and outlet valve every few fills to keep the seals supple, and avoid overfilling; a one or two second fill is usually enough. Store magazines with a small amount of gas in them so the seals stay seated, but never leave them fully charged for long periods.
Keep the slide rails and moving parts lightly lubricated with silicone oil, wipe off dirt after each game and clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a dry cloth. Use good quality seamless BBs only. Performance drops in cold weather because gas pressure falls, so keep magazines warm in a pocket on cold days and give the gun time to recover between fast strings of shots.
Who is it for?
