The Ares x Amoeba Striker Tactical 01 (AST1-UG) is a spring-powered, bolt-action sniper rifle in urban grey. The Striker family is one of the most popular modern airsoft sniper platforms, and the Tactical 01 builds on it with a full-length top rail, a fully adjustable trigger and a fully adjustable tactical stock, making it a strong base for both new and experienced snipers.
Because the Striker range shares parts across the AS series, upgrades and spares are easy to find. The urban grey finish gives the rifle a distinctive, modern look that suits urban and CQB sites as well as more open ground.
Build and ergonomics
The Tactical 01 uses a G2 upper receiver with a 90-degree sear, a full-length top rail, a shorter magwell and a screw-fixed bolt pin. The low-profile charging handle and new magazine release knob keep the controls tidy and easy to use.
The tactical butt stock is fully adjustable, with an adjustable cheek piece and butt pad, so you can set a comfortable, consistent position behind your scope. The construction combines metal and polymer for a sturdy rifle at a sensible weight.

Getting started
Read the manual so you are familiar with the safety and loading. Load the magazine, work the bolt fully back and forward, and fire a few shots at a safe backstop with the hop-up off. Add hop gradually until the BBs fly flat at your usual engagement distance, then zero any optic to match.
Note the hop setting that suits your chosen BB weight so you can return to it, and have the rifle chronographed at your site before play.

Compatibility
The Tactical 01 is compatible with Ares Amoeba AS series parts, so the wide range of Striker upgrades, springs and accessories should suit it; check each part’s listing for compatibility with the Tactical 01 and the G2 upper. The top rail takes standard scope mounts, and spare magazines should be the AS-MAG-001 type or another Striker-compatible magazine.
Care and maintenance
Store the rifle uncocked, so the spring is not left under tension. Keep the inner barrel clean with a rod and patch, and use high-quality, heavier seamless BBs for the best consistency.
Check scope mount screws before each game, keep the rifle dry, and wipe the bolt with a light film of silicone oil now and then.
