Armorer Works HX Series Aluminium Baseplate (CNC – Red)
This is an Armorer Works (AW Custom) HX series magazine baseplate, CNC machined from aluminium and finished in red. It is made for Hi-Capa type gas blowback pistol magazines, replacing the standard baseplate with a sharper and more distinctive custom part.
Armorer Works is well known for its HX series of Hi-Capa style pistols and the wide range of custom parts that go with them. Red parts have long been a favourite on competition pistols, and a red baseplate is an easy way to bring that look to your own build. An aluminium baseplate also gives the bottom of the magazine a tougher, more solid feel, which suits competition shooters and custom builders alike.
Build and looks
Machining from aluminium gives crisp edges and a precise fit. Red is a bold choice that makes the magazine instantly visible, and it matches other red custom parts such as triggers, hammers and grip accents for a coordinated race-gun look.
Being metal, the baseplate also feels more solid than a basic plastic one, which is welcome when magazines are dropped onto the floor during fast reloads in speed shooting or skirmishes.
Fitting
Hi-Capa style magazines usually have their baseplate held by a retaining screw or catch. With the magazine empty of gas, remove the existing baseplate carefully, keeping hold of any spring or plate underneath, then fit the new baseplate in its place and secure it. Check that the magazine still seats and drops freely in your pistol.

Compatibility
Made for Hi-Capa type gas blowback pistol magazines, including those for Armorer Works HX series pistols. Hi-Capa clones vary slightly between brands, so check the fit against your magazine before relying on it in a game. It does not fit Glock-type or other pistol magazines.
Care and maintenance
Always empty the magazine of gas before removing the baseplate. Wipe the baseplate with a soft cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners that could mark the coloured finish.
Check the fixing occasionally, and store magazines with a little gas in them to keep the seals healthy.
