Description
Armorer Works M712 Smuggler Blaster with Scope & Flash Hider GBBP (Full Metal)
The Armorer Works M712 Smuggler Blaster is a gas blowback airsoft pistol built on the M712 broom-handle platform and dressed as a famous science-fiction smuggler’s blaster, with a mock scope and a slip-over flash hider. It is a fun, eye-catching replica for collectors, film fans and anyone who wants something different on the field.
Armorer Works is known for its gas pistols, and its full metal M712 is a solid base for this custom look. A UK retailer describes this as a limited edition kit that requires some simple assembly by the buyer.
Build and design
Defcon Airsoft describes the pistol as mostly alloy, with full metal construction and faux wood polymer grips. The distinctive broom-handle shape, with the magazine in front of the trigger, gives the pistol a balance unlike any modern handgun, and the metal build gives it a pleasing weight in the hand.
The mock scope fits by hand with screws on the right side of the pistol, and the flash hider slides over the outer barrel and is secured with a single grub screw. Together they transform the M712 outline into the blaster look; you can remove them again if you want the plain M712.
Gas and performance
Defcon lists gas power, blowback and an adjustable hop-up. Listings differ on the fire modes for this kit, so please check the manual and selector on your pistol. Please also check the manual for the recommended gas and never use a gas or CO2 system the pistol is not designed for.
As with any gas pistol, performance drops in cold weather, so keep the magazine warm on chilly days and fill it just before use.
Display and play
The Smuggler Blaster makes a great display piece and talking point, but it is a working gas blowback replica too. Fit the scope and flash hider carefully and check the screws before each use, so nothing works loose as the slide cycles.

Compatibility
Use Armorer Works M712 magazines; ask us before buying spares, as M712 magazines vary between makers. Use 0.20g high-quality seamless BBs to start, and try 0.25g once the hop-up is set.
The mock scope is decorative and is designed for this pistol; it is not a working optic.
Care and maintenance
Use the gas recommended in the manual and fill the magazine in short bursts without overfilling. A drop of silicone oil on the magazine fill valve and seals now and then keeps them supple, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay seated.
Keep the moving parts lightly lubricated with a suitable silicone product, check the scope and flash hider screws regularly, and store the pistol unloaded somewhere cool and dry.
Who is it for?
The Smuggler Blaster suits film fans, collectors and players who want a fun, standout gas pistol with a metal build and a famous science-fiction look.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not listed as included. Some assembly is required (as listed). Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
