Description
Army G39 Gas Blowback Rifle (Blue)
The Army G39 is a gas blowback rifle from Army Armament, based on the well-known G36 family of rifles and finished in blue. It runs on green gas and uses a working blowback system, so every shot cycles the bolt carrier and gives a noticeable kick that electric guns simply cannot match.
Army Armament has built a reputation for affordable gas rifles that bring the feel of a real-steel style operating system within reach of more players. The G39 is a good example: a light polymer-bodied rifle with metal parts where they matter, a folding stock and a rail for optics, offering an engaging, realistic shooting experience for skirmish and milsim players.
How it works
The G39 is powered by green gas stored in its magazines. When you pull the trigger, the gas both fires the BB and drives the bolt carrier back, producing recoil and the satisfying sound of a working action. Because each magazine is its own gas supply, you carry your power and ammunition together, with no battery to charge.
Fire modes are Safe, Single and Auto. The hop-up is adjustable, so you can set it to suit the BB weight you are using for the flattest, most consistent flight.
Build and handling
The receiver and furniture are lightweight polymer, while the outer barrel and bolt carrier are metal for strength. A rail on the carry handle accepts optics, and iron sights are fitted for when you prefer to keep things simple. Both the charging handle and the fire selector are ambidextrous, so left- and right-handed players can operate the rifle comfortably. The folding stock makes it compact for transport or for moving in confined spaces.
The rifle is designed around realistic-capacity magazines holding around 30 BBs, which encourages measured shooting and adds to the realism. Carrying a few spare magazines is recommended for a full day’s play.
Shooting in different weather
Like all gas rifles, the G39 performs best in mild to warm conditions. In cold weather gas pressure drops, which reduces power and slows the cycling. Keeping spare magazines in an inside pocket and swapping between them helps, and many players use their gas rifles mainly from spring to autumn.

Compatibility
Use Army Armament G39 gas magazines for this rifle. It runs on green gas; use good quality airsoft gas with silicone in it to help look after the seals. Standard rail-mounted optics can be fitted to the top rail. Use 6mm BBs, with good quality seamless 0.20g or 0.25g BBs a sensible choice.
Care and maintenance
Lubricate the magazine seals with a drop of silicone oil regularly and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay supple. Do not overfill magazines. Keep the bolt and moving parts lightly lubricated with a suitable silicone-based lubricant, clean the inner barrel periodically, and store the rifle somewhere dry. Avoid leaving gas magazines in hot cars or direct sunlight.
Who is it for?
The G39 suits players who want the recoil and realism of a gas blowback rifle at an accessible price, particularly those who enjoy milsim-style games with realistic-capacity magazines.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection and check your site’s power limits before play.
