Description
Army JW3 Baba Yaga Gas Blowback Pistol (Full Metal – Two-Tone Green – R601-GREEN)
The Army Armament JW3 Baba Yaga (R601-GREEN) is a full metal Hi-Capa gas blowback pistol in a two-tone green finish, styled after the race-tuned competition pistols made famous on screen. It combines a shortened, lightened slide with a compensated barrel and a tactical magwell, giving it an aggressive, purpose-built look that stands out on any holster.
Army Armament has built a strong following for its Hi-Capa based pistols, which offer plenty of features for the money. The JW3 takes that further with fibre optic sights, an ambidextrous safety and cold-weather friendly seals, making it a capable skirmish sidearm as well as an eye-catching piece.
Build and design
The frame and slide are full metal, with weight-reduction cuts in the shortened slide and a reinforced frame. A 4.1-inch island-type barrel carries a compensator at the front, and the anodised green coating gives the pistol its distinctive two-tone appearance.
The polymer grip is stippled for a secure hold, a tactical magwell guides fast reloads, and an integral frame rail takes a pistol torch. Fibre optic sights make it easy to pick up the front sight quickly, and the ambidextrous thumb safety locks the slide.
Performance and gas system
The JW3 is a semi-automatic gas blowback pistol with an adjustable hop-up. The hop unit uses a sealed silicone hop-up rubber, described as staying tight at low temperatures, and the reinforced polymer nozzle is also designed for cold conditions.
It feeds from a double-stack, 28-round extended gas magazine with a base pad and sealed, new-generation valves, giving a good number of shots between reloads.
Getting started
Fill the magazine with the correct gas, holding the can upright and filling in short bursts. Let the magazine settle for a minute, load your BBs and fire a few test shots with the hop-up off, then add hop gradually until the BBs fly flat.
Get the replica chronographed at your site before play. In cold weather, keep spare magazines warm in an inside pocket for the most consistent performance.

- Army JW3 Baba Yaga pistol (two-tone green)

Compatibility
As a Hi-Capa based pistol, the JW3 will generally accept Hi-Capa style gas magazines, although extended or competition magwells can be selective, so check fit before buying spares. The frame rail takes standard pistol torches, and holsters need to suit a Hi-Capa with a compensator and magwell. Use a suitable airsoft gas such as green gas.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine’s fill valve and seals every few fills, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay tight. Do not overfill, and let magazines warm up to room temperature in cold weather rather than heating them.
Wipe the moving parts and the outer barrel with a thin film of silicone oil now and then, clean the inner barrel with a rod and patch, and use good quality seamless BBs. Never use petroleum-based oils on the seals.
Who is it for?
The JW3 Baba Yaga is for players who want a distinctive, competition-styled sidearm with useful upgrades already fitted, and for collectors drawn to its race-gun looks.
Please note: BBs and gas are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using airsoft replicas.
