Description
Ascend Airsoft x WE 17 Series Red GBB Pistol (DP17 Extended Mag)
The Ascend Airsoft x WE 17 Series DP17 is a gas blowback pistol in a striking red and black colour scheme, supplied with an extended magazine with a flared base. It combines the proven WE 17 series platform with Ascend Airsoft’s custom styling, giving you a sidearm that looks distinctive and shares its mechanics with one of the most popular GBB designs.
WE is a well-known Taiwanese manufacturer of gas blowback replicas, and its 17 series is widely used in airsoft thanks to its reliability and parts support. Ascend Airsoft works with established makers to produce custom-styled versions. The DP17 suits players who want a reliable, eye-catching pistol, whether as a sidearm or as a primary for CQB.
Build and finish
Our listing for this model describes a metal slide on a polymer frame, finished in red and black. The metal slide gives a solid, crisp recoil, while the polymer frame keeps weight down and makes the pistol comfortable to hold.
The extended magazine has a flared base, which works with the pistol’s flared magwell to guide the magazine in during fast reloads. The extra length also gives you more to hold.
Performance
The DP17 is a semi-automatic gas blowback pistol: on every shot, the slide cycles to give realistic recoil and chamber the next BB. The extended magazine is listed at 24 rounds, giving plenty of shots between reloads.
A gas nozzle extension is listed in the box. Use a suitable airsoft gas such as green gas, and good quality seamless 6mm BBs for the best accuracy and reliability.
Handling
The 17-pattern grip is one of the most familiar in airsoft, so holsters, lights and spare parts are widely available. The flared magwell and extended base plate make reloads quicker and more positive, which is a real advantage in fast CQB games.

Compatibility
The DP17 is based on the WE 17 series, so standard WE 17 series gas magazines should work as spares; check fit, as the flared magwell is designed around the extended base plate. Check that holsters fit a 17-size pistol with a flared magwell. Use a suitable airsoft gas such as green gas, never lighter fluid or butane.
Care and maintenance
Store the pistol with the magazine removed and keep a small amount of gas in the magazine to keep its seals supple. Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine valves and on the slide rails now and then; never use petroleum-based oils.
Clean the inner barrel with a rod and lightly oiled patch if accuracy drops, wipe the pistol down after damp games, and store it somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
Who is it for?
The DP17 suits players who want a reliable WE 17 series pistol with a bold red finish and fast-reloading extended magazine, whether as a sidearm for skirmish or as a primary for CQB.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, and check the power limits at your site before play.
